Modave wind farm
Electrabel plans to invest in the construction of a wind farm within the municipality of Modave (province of Liège) on the site of “Les Trinitaires”. The wind farm will have four wind turbines with a unit power of 2 or 3 MW, for a total installed power of 8 to 12 MW.
Annually, the four machines should produce some 22 000 MWh, the equivalent of the annual consumption of around 6 300 households.
The wind farm should enter into service in spring 2011.
Electrabel has presented the wind farm project to the local population at a public consultation meeting.
